A veneer can be used to improve damaged, discoloured or poorly aligned teeth. We can focus on one or two teeth or complete a full smile make over. We usually recommend whitening your teeth prior to treatment with veneers.
There are two main types of veneers:
Composite
An aesthetic white filling material is used to cover the surface of the tooth, it is then shaped and polished. Composite veneers are extremely conservative as no tooth is removed and they are fully reversible. This treatment can be carried out in one appointment.
Porcelain
A thin layer of highly aesthetic porcelain is crafted by a dental technician to cover the front surface of your teeth. A small amount of enamel may need to be removed from your teeth to ensure the veneers look natural. This treatment takes two appointments to complete.
